6/11/2006: What's wrong with this picture?

Scrawny, pasty British boy posing with bronzed supermodel? I know, it's a no-brainer. It looks like she's been forced to pose for a pic with her younger cousin, right?

Wrong.

It's that guy James Blunt who's everywhere in the last few months with his song "You're Beautiful" and model Petra Nemcova. She's the one who survived the Asian tsunami with a broken pelvis but lost her photographer/boyfriend. I figured she'd have a Lifetime movie about the event, but no, she's hooked up with this guy instead.

I have to admit I'm sick of the guy and his whiney song, but his album Back to Bedlam has sold millions.. likely most of them to 14-year-old girls who swoon in their bedrooms thinking he glimpsed them one day and fell in unrequited love at first sight.

But as it happens, the line that we're all sick of "I'll never be with you" has proven itself false, as the little twerp has apparently landed himself a supermodel. You just have to wonder, would something like this have happened if he didn't have a hit record?
